Last evening was amazing! I got to go out for dinner with my wonderful family and then launch the second book in the "Just Enough Series," "What Happens When A Loved Ones Dies? Our First Talk About Death." (www.justenoughseries.com)
This was a difficult book to write. It was also a great honour. I was able to carefully think through the words I would choose if I sat down with a child the very first time and tried to explain the concept of death in a way that could be understood and accepted. How to present this most difficult of topics? How to help a child process loss if experiencing it for the first time? I am so grateful to Orca Books to be given the opportunity to share what I have learned in nearly 20 years of clinical practice.
It was also a great honour to co-launch with the other Orca spring authors and to learn about the journeys they took to write their books. It is humbling to be a part of such an inspired and inspiring group of writers!
